- Weather Forces Postponement of JKSSB Junior Engineer (Civil) Exam

JAMMU/SRINAGAR, AUGUST 30, 2025: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has officially postponed the OMR-based examination for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil), citing adverse weather conditions.
The exam, which was initially scheduled for August 31, 2025, and had already been rescheduled to September 7, 2025, has now been deferred indefinitely. The decision was announced through a formal notice issued by the Controller of Examinations, Reyaz Ahmad Malik, on Friday.
According to the notice, the fresh date for the examination will be announced separately at a later time. The Board has advised all concerned candidates to regularly monitor its official website, www.jkssb.nic.in, for further updates and the new exam schedule.
The postponement affects a significant number of candidates who had applied for the position under Advertisement Notification No. 03 of 2025, dated April 24, 2025.
The JKSSB has also directed the Director of Information of the J&K Government to publish the notice in at least two leading newspapers of Jammu and Srinagar to ensure all candidates are informed of the change.
Candidates are urged to rely only on official JKSSB communications for authentic information regarding the rescheduled exam date.
