Schools Closed in Jammu Division Due to Heavy Rainfall Alert 🌧️
The Directorate of School Education, Jammu (DSEJ) has ordered the closure of all Government and Private Schools across the Jammu Division on October 6 and 7, 2025 (Monday and Tuesday) following a weather advisory issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall in various parts of the region.
The order, issued under No. 374-DSEJ of 2025 dated 05-10-2025 by Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary (JKAS), Director School Education Jammu, states that the step has been taken to ensure the safety and security of students and staff during the adverse weather conditions.
The advisory has been shared with the Divisional Commissioner, Deputy Commissioners, and Chief Education Officers across the Jammu Division for necessary action. The Information Department has also been requested to publicize the closure widely through print and electronic media.
