Dr. Ashfaq Hassan Suspended as BMO Gool Pending Inquiry, Attached to CHC Basholi
Jammu, July 3:
In a significant administrative move, the Health & Medical Education Department of the Jammu and Kashmir Government has suspended Dr. Ashfaq Hassan, who was serving as In-Charge Block Medical Officer (BMO) Gool, with immediate effect.
The suspension, issued under the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Service Rules, 1956, comes pending an inquiry into his conduct, the details of which have not been made public yet.
During the suspension period, Dr. Ashfaq Hassan has been directed to report to the Community Health Centre (CHC) Basholi in Kathua district.
In the interim, the government has appointed Dr. Mohammad Iqbal Malik, currently serving as District Health Officer (DHO) Ramban, to take additional charge of BMO Gool until further orders are issued.
The official order was signed by Abdul Rajib Bhat (JKAS), Under Secretary to the Government, and was issued under the authority of Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, IAS, Secretary to the Government, Health & Medical Education Department.
The move is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to ensure accountability and transparency in public health admi administration.
