CAG Reports and Financial Accounts Tabled in J&K Assembly by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah

Jammu, March 30:

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday laid several महत्वपूर्ण reports and financial documents on the Table of the House during the ongoing session of the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly.

Among the key documents presented were multiple reports of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG), covering crucial sectors and audit findings. These included performance audit reports on public health infrastructure and management of health services, functioning of the University of Jammu, and conservation and management of lakes in Jammu and Kashmir, all for the period ending March 2022.

In addition, compliance and composite audit reports relating to revenue, public sector undertakings, and civil departments for the financial years ending March 2022 and March 2023 were also tabled in the House. A separate CAG report concerning Union Territory revenue for the year ending March 2023 was also presented.

The Chief Minister further placed before the House the Finance Accounts (Volume I and II) for the year 2024–25, along with the Appropriation Accounts for the same financial year, providing a detailed overview of government receipts and expenditures.

These reports are expected to be taken up for scrutiny and discussion by the legislators in the coming days, forming an important basis for financial accountability and governance oversight in the Union Territory.
